Renewals
Students may renew books up to three times so long as there isn't a waiting list.
Overdue fines
$0.10 per day
If a student is sick on their library day, they must return the book the day they return to school in order not to be fined.
Fines are used to buy new library books and library upkeep, however, if a family chooses not to pay a library fine, whether for financial or other reasons, there are other ways a student can pay down their fines:
- Read away your fines - 10 minutes for every dollar
- Volunteer your help in the library - help with library tasks such as reshelving or book preservation
- Donate a new or gently used book (see wishlist here)
- Help another teacher in their classroom before or after school (would not count for NJHS service hours)
